Having worn out at least 5 Manfrotto Monopods in my career I decided to invest in a Gitzo and I’m glad I did. This one will last me for life. The ball and socket head I bought was way more expensive than the monopod but is the best I’ve seen and used. In normal use the bottom leg extension is not needed but when you need the extra height it is so necessary. The Gitzo GM3551 is the best monopod for small DSLR out there in my opinion.
